Health Effects and Advice
Warning: Health effects and advice are not regulatory guidance and have no legal effect. You should understand and inform your users that anyone who feels unwell should seek medical care immediately and follow professional medical advice.
Air quality directly affects human health. The Air Quality API provides health effects and advice to help people respond to air pollution. Guidance is provided separately for the general population and sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include:
- Older adults
- Pregnant women
- Children
- People with heart disease
- People with respiratory disease
- People who work outdoors for extended periods
- Others who are unusually sensitive to air pollution
Health effects and advice are not available for every country and region.
